Quite enjoyable album. I like the clarity of the lyrics, & their emotive, thought provoking narrative. The music is expressive & never too complicated. I enjoy the folky, reflective segments. Although not well acquainted with the concept of the work, I am eager to explore the whole trilogy of albums, of which this is the 1st. I expect to edit my review at some point. For now, I find this album interesting & easy to listen to. My thanks, Phideaux, for your generosity & music. 7.5+/10.

I'm always somewhat reluctant to listen to epics longer than 10 minutes. Why? Well... lots of them are just... er... long! Song ideas for 5 minutes, inflated to 15, 20, 30, ore more minutes. Yes, each prog band must have at least one 20-minute concerto on an album, right? Yawn... usually I wish they'd have left off the epics... But not so in this case. Fortunately - because this album consists of just one single epic - and it's a great one!
